About RemoveVocals

Free, AI-powered audio tools that run entirely in your browser. No uploads, no signup, no limits.

Our Mission

RemoveVocals is built for musicians, DJs, podcasters, educators, and content creators worldwide. Our mission is simple: make professional audio processing accessible to everyone, with zero barriers.

Privacy First

Unlike cloud-based services, RemoveVocals processes everything directly in your browser using WebAssembly and neural networks. Your audio files never leave your device. No uploads, no servers, no data collection. This is audio processing the way it should be: fast, private, and free.

Our Technology

We leverage cutting-edge AI models for vocal separation, combined with custom WebAssembly implementations for real-time audio analysis. Our BPM detection, key finding, and mastering algorithms run entirely client-side, delivering professional results without cloud dependencies.

Who We Are

RemoveVocals is built by a small team of audio engineers and ML researchers based in Paris, France, focused on building useful, privacy-respecting tools for the creative community. We believe in free access to professional tools, and we are committed to keeping RemoveVocals free forever. Meet the audio team ›

Why RemoveVocals stays free

RemoveVocals processes audio entirely in the user's browser via WebAssembly. There are no GPU servers to pay for, no per-minute inference costs, no cloud storage bills tied to processing. That single architectural choice keeps the marginal cost of every free use close to zero, which is why we can promise the 15 tools will stay free forever.

The project funds itself through two strictly optional add-ons that never gate any feature: an optional Cloud sync subscription at 3 EUR per month for users who want to save and re-open projects across devices, and a one-time Founding Supporter pledge limited to 500 places with supporter perks like a wall mention and an early-access badge. No ads, no upsell walls, no usage caps.

How the technology works

Each tool is a WebAssembly module loaded directly into the browser the first time the page is opened. After that initial load, the model lives in the browser's cache and can run offline. The audio file the user drops into the page is decoded by the Web Audio API into a typed-array buffer, processed in memory by the WebAssembly module, and re-encoded to WAV or MP3 directly in the browser before the download is triggered.

No part of the audio is sent to a remote server. No metadata about the file is logged. The user can verify this by opening the browser's network tab while running any tool and watching that no audio request is fired.

The team

RemoveVocals is built by a small independent team of audio engineers and developers based in Europe. The team's prior work spans music production, DSP research and web platform development. The project is self-funded and has no outside investors.
