The AI separation in RemoveVocals produces comparable results on typical pop, rock, EDM and hip-hop tracks. For very layered classical or jazz material, paid services may keep a slight edge. We aim to set realistic expectations.

Quality also depends on your source file. A clean lossless WAV will always separate better than a low-bitrate MP3. Both RemoveVocals and AudioStrip are limited by the information present in the input.

Privacy: what happens to your file

By default, RemoveVocals sends your file over an encrypted connection to its separation servers (Modal, United States), returns the result to your browser and deletes the file right after processing. If the server declines the job (size, quota, load), a 67 MB model downloads once and the separation runs on your device. Nothing is stored unless you are on a paid plan, where your downloads are auto-saved to your project library, and nothing is used to train models.
